The contest began on October 1st with the first 5,000 entrants receiving reviews from Publisher’s Weekly and Amazon reviewers. The current semi-finalist round has been narrowed down to 835 excerpts, available for public review. The public review portion of the contest wraps up on February 19, with the Penguin Group Publishing sponsor utilizing those and professional reviews to make the next cut by March 2. They finalist round will be 100 and at that point, full manuscripts will be reviewed.
